Colour Render

The Full Story - Colour Render

Colour rendering house" refers to the process of applying a coloured, textured coating to the exterior walls of a house, which provides both a decorative finish and weather protection.

Popular options include ready-mixed, one-coat Monocouche renders, which are durable and low-maintenance, or traditional cement rendering that is then painted. The render comes pre-coloured, eliminating the need for future painting and avoiding problems like cracking and bubbling.

Types of colour rendering

Monocouche render: This is a popular one-coat, pre-coloured render that is known for being durable and low-maintenance.

It is applied in a single layer over a flexible basecoat to create a crack-free finish.

It's an efficient process, often machine-applied, and provides a waterproof and breathable finish.

Coloured cement rendering: This method involves applying multiple layers of a traditional sand and cement mix, which is then painted a specific color after it has dried.

Lime rendering: A traditional option often found on older or listed properties, lime render is breathable and can help with damp issues.
